Using wifi connection

when i am using internet via a external wifi modem , with in a few minutes my pc is hank by the modem's connection software .suddenly i try to shutdown my laptop but it takes 15 minutes to shutdown please send me solution for this problem

Ok, so what version of O/S?

What is the version of antivirus are you running?
