Toshiba frozen cursor

Hello, having problems with new laptop, latest one is cursor not responding to touch pad but responds perfectly with my remote mouse !! HELP !!

new laptop shuts down on startup, cursor is frozen and only works with my remote mouse, system is slow and will only play some game apps and not others. tried phoning Toshiba countless times to be put on hold !! anyone any ideas as to solve the whole issues PLEASE !!! do I need to reboot to factory settings and if so ,how ???

Because this laptop is new to you, try changing the reaction timing, in settings for the mouse pad. Maybe the settings are extreme, or not to your usability. Start with some customization, then if that doesn't work, I agree with xpcman!

How new is the laptop?

I suspect a hardware problem. Any chance you can return or exchange the laptop?
