you can disable EFS. You will want to decrypt the files before
you disable EFS on the system. Find the root folder that is encrypted
(I'm Assuming it is My Documents), right-click -> Properties ->
General Tab -> Advanced Button -> Uncheck Encrypt Contents to Secure
Data. Once you are 100% sure that your files have been decrypted you
can move on to disabling EFS. If you server is a member of a domain
and you have permissions to create/link Group Policies, you can create
a new policy under Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings ->
Security Settings -> Public Key Policies -> Encrypting File System,
right-click -> Properties -> Uncheck Enable EFS. If you machine is a
stand-alone then go to Start -> Run -> type in gpedit.msc and follow
the same path specified in the previous sentence. Good luck
