Hello,
If you want to, we can check your laptop is or isn't still "dead" and make a back-up of your files.
If you want to try, you need 15 minutes, a CDR and a cd writer.
Is your laptop able to boot on cd?
Do you know how to acces to bios and change the boot order?
Do you have a Cd of your OS ?(XP, I suppose)
Tell me if you're ok to try.
