i have a toshiba satillite laptop which is running Windows 8.1, and last night i went to turn on my laptop, and it turned on told me it was "preparing automatic repair", so i left it for the night and in the morning it was just a black screen. a few minutes afterwards it started to click like it was skipping on something, i turned off the computer and restarted it, it would go to the toshiba logo and start to load but then it stops and the screen is just black and it continues to click, i cant get to the login screen

any help you guys can give me would be awsome,
if theres any questions you guys need answering in regards to this question i'll try to answer them

That clicking noise could be a failed hard drive. I suggest you have a local PC repair shop take a look at it.

Good Luck

If it's still under warranty - Then that's the cheapest way to go.
