Hi,
Previously my laptop was working fine, now all of a sudden when I turn it on there is a beeping sound that goes off once the Dell Inspiron page with the loading bar appears. However that page remains with the loading bar 3/4 full, now nothing else happens, the keyboard is still responsive as you can press the F buttons however they don't change the page on screen.

I'd be very greatful if anybody had an idea on what has happened and how to fix it.
Thanks.

You can run the Dell diagnostics by pressing F12 after you see the Dell logo. These instructions should help:

Good Luck

I've tried that along with pressing F8 but neither of these changed what the screen was showing only that when I pressed F12 the instruction in the bottom left corner became brighter?

About the only option left is to remove one of the memory modules to see if that finds a bad module. The next option is to return the laptop to Dell for servicing. They will probably replace the motherboard and charge you MORE than just buying a new laptop.

Good Luck
