Hello, I have windows 8.1installed. recently I dropped my WD Passport and when I plugged in it shows the drive Letter but freezes trying to read it. HELP PLEASE!!!

this is a hardware issue, if you're in luck it could be some simple issue like replacing the R-W-head but even that will be the work of a hardware specialist. in the mean time do not plug it in to avoid further damages.
