My iPod 5th Generation won't turn on!!

Ok so my 5th generation iPod won't turn on!! I've seen many, many situations and questions about this, but I have one problem. The home button on my iPod is pushed in all the way and I use assistive touch to navigate around the iPod . Many answers say to hold sleep and home button at the same Time and , obviously, I can't do that. What in the world do I do???!!!! Someone please help!!!
