Newly built computer getting "no signal"

Hello, My Wife is building her 1st computer and she has run into a snag. Installed everything, but we were getting "no signal" on the monitor.
Took everything out of the case and rebuilt it outside the case, and got "signal" to the monitor.
Put everything back into the case and now getting "no signal" again.
Any suggestions on where the issue might be?

A little more info/clarification....took the motherboard out and connected it outside the case and everything worked, mounted motherboard back into case, getting "no signal".
