Hello, my name is Sean. I have a problem with my old Generation 3 30 GB iPod. The problem is that even when fully charged, it will turn off after a couple of seconds to a few minutes after I take it off the charger. It will only stay powered on while it's on the charger. It might be the battery has failed to hold a charge.
