Hello,

I had Windows 7, and upgraded a few weeks back to Windows 10. Then the computer started crashing. Finally it shows only blank screen. With another laptop, I upgraded from Windows 8 to 10, but after repeated issues switched it back to Windows 8.

I am not a computer tech person. Tried using the Drivers and Utilities disc that came with the laptop. Tried using F2 and F12 functions, tried "Restore Defaults" etc.

Please help.

Thanks

Roger

Ok, hang in there. The first trick to IT is requirements. Find out what the requirements for running the O/S are, then make certain your hardware meets or exceeds those requirements. It REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE.

In theory, if you ran 7, it should run 10, but that is theory. You also can look into a flat load of Windows 10, as opposed to an upgrade. I have a counterpart have no issues with a rebuild from ISO disk, but he had issues with the upgrade. If you understand building an ISO disk to load the O/S, then start looking into that migration path instead of the upgrade option!
