Password to what? Email, desktop, bios? If you don't have your desktop password, along with no tech savvy, then take it to a qualified individual that can help you.
I will be honest, nothing is free, and we certainly cannot take the time to write up a how to of how to crack passwords! Besides, we cannot verify that you are the machines rightful owner.
In the case of a someone "leaving" it for you, then it is found and I would consider a $120 thrown at it for a local tech to help you would be worth a free machine.
