External Hard drive

I updated to Windows 10. I have a WD external hard drive. A window came up that said there is a problem with this drive, Scan the drive now and fix it.
Well Now i cannot open any of my photos or anything else.
I am sick to my stomach! .
Is there anything I can do?

Try to update your drivers. I might work
