Hello,

I've been searching around for a solid answer but I can t seem to follow through. My buddy just recently loaned me a tower and an LG monitor to replace my newly broken laptop, and I rushed home to set it up. I ensured the D-sub cords were in order, all powers were up to date as well and booted both up.

The computer itself seems to be fine, I can hear it running but the monitor is stuck in "D-sub power saver", in which I can only switch it to DVI in which it says the same thing.

Anyone have any help they could lend me? Thanks.

I think this is the problem with monitor settings. so you need to go to settings and power saving option.
now you need to change the power saving method. then it will start working fine.
