Format 5tb external hard drive

Hello, i just bought a toshiba 5tb external hard drive but is nfts format so i cant play it on my dvd i try to change it to fat 32 but it wont let me it says that is to big..
how do i format it without losing any disc space and make it work on my dvd player .. thank you please help

Hello alexys,

The FAT32 file system supports only upto 32 GB partition, that's why you are unable to benefit the whole drive capacity in this format. You could make several partitions with 32 GB each, but to me is kind of nonsense. Try to format the drive in exFAT format but you should beware that the data might get unstable. There are also some programs that could help with the administration of the partitions, but I think you have to check the supported formats by your DVD player in the user guide.
You could also contact the DVD player's manufacturer Call centre and speak with them regarding your issue. They should be able to help you.
