Hi Nick
I would like to advice you to go to PSN chatroom or forum and ask to other users whether they are facing the same issue or not because same thing happened three years ago and then we knew about PSN outage and found some maintenance was going down there, they usually not announced this but it happened.
Let me know if this is not the case.
