Why won't my ps3 keep a connection

When I get on my playstation the connection won't stay. If I go in the settings it will show that the signal strength is 100%, but when I try to sign in to PSN or update something it says, "can not connect to server". What do I do

Did it ever work? Did you just get a new internet router (WIFI)? Is your WIFI on N band? If it is, set it to broadcast on G/N. Ps3 does not have an N rated wireless adapter!
