So press the F12 button. Does it bring you to the BIOS screen. If it does, then check the date and time. Set up the correct date and time! Reboot. Did it still prompt for the F12? Can the battery be removed from this model of laptop? If it cannot, then it sounds like the internal battery may be bad!
