Hello,
My driver is updated and wifi is on. I'm currently connected via usb tethering since all the other devices can connect to the router. Please help. I need my acer laptop to connect to wifi, tethering is draining my phone's battery.

FIRST
open command propt as admin,
type ipconfig /flushdns
type Ipconfig /release
type ipconfig /renew
If this dosent work, proceed below.
Open internet options, go to connectivity, then click lan settings and make sure nothing buy the first box is checked.(auto detect settings)
then go to network and sharing center, manage network adapters, find your adapter and right click, then properties, doubl click the Ipv4 settings in the middle box, now make sure everything is set to automatically detect the settings.
