Hello Wema,
Have you tried pulling out the charger and the battery, and pressing the power button for about a minute? If not, please try it. Plug the charger back in afterwards and try to star the laptop.
Did that help? If not and if the laptop is out of warranty, my advice is to open it and to extract the CMOS battery. Leave it a side of a couple of minutes and plug it back in. You must do this without the battery and the cable connected to the laptop.
Please, come back with the results.
Cheers.
