Monitor in power saving mode

Hello,
i just upgraded my Computer... in the new box i have i 3 processor.. new motherboard .. a nvidia geforce graphics card 1 GB... 4 GB ram.. etc.
it was perfectly working in the computer shop.. but when i brought it home and connected it to my LG monitor through VGA cable.. the monitor never displayed.. it just said it was in power saving mode.. please help

It's probable that the video card has become unseated during the transportation. I suggest you unplug the PC, open the case and remove the card and then reinsert it.
