Hello,

I bought this laptop last year. Now, it is facing an issue. For a last few days, when I shut down my laptop, it automatically restarts. I thought, it is affect by virus. So I did a full scan. A tracking cookie appears. I deleted it. Then I shut down my laptop. The only thing I use to can shut down my laptop is by pressing the main power button.

Please help!
System Configuration: Windows Vista Opera 9.64

Hi, follow these steps:
  • Go to Device Manager > Network Adapter
  • Right click on Properties > tab Advanced
  • Scroll to Wake from shutdown

Hope, it works!

if you have win7
right click My Computer/properties/advanced/startup and recovery clear the "automatically >restart on system failure" box
i had same problem.I had tried all methods said in the tech forums.nothing worked. even computer service personnel could not solve it. With no hope I reinstalled my anti virus and did a complete computer scan..guess what..it found a trojan virus..after deletion the error rectified :)..virus corrupts many programs including antivirus..u have to reinstall..
In your BIOS try disabling an option called ""wake up on LAN."
