Acer Computer won't stay on

I have an Acer Aspire V5. I upgraded to Windows 10 From XP. Have had problems ever since. Can't seem to open any programs. It just sits there like it is locked up. I Can hear it spinning. It finally just goes blank. Then starts to load programs all over again.

Before upgrading, did you check if your Acer met the requirements for Windows 10 ?

I did this first and it was ok to do it.

Then, I am afraid to say, it looks like a hard disk failure.
