Internet connections

Hello,
I Have Acer 690p pro and accedently i catched visrus so i had to redwonload wimdows 2003 and microsoft again.
but when i tried to define my DSL router to my computer it could not recognize it and asked for IP adress.
i would appreciate if you could help me to overcome this problem.

Are you using your pc on a server?

no i am not using my pc on server
