Toshiba laptop won't start

Hello,
My laptop will not start there are no lights nothing.... it was fine a couple of hours ago I set it to sleep mode and it now won't start????please help I need my assignment

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.
