How to create a desktop shortcut

I want a shot cut for IMOVIE on my desktop. How do I do that?

right click the mouse on the desktop, and select NEW SHORTCUT.
Then click on the NEW shortcut, and it will have a browse button. Click on it, and go to the program you wish to have the shortcut point to!
