It occurs through levelling up, stones, trading, or other conditions, enhancing strength and diversifying teams. In this guide we will show you specifically how to evolve Finizen into Palafin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to evolve Finizen into Palafin?

Here is the process to evolve Finizen into Palafin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:

Step 1:

• Ensure that the Finizen you want to evolve is at level 37 or higher. Finizen evolves into Palafin at level 38.
• Make sure your Finizen is close to reaching level 38 or higher to make the evolution process smoother.

Step 2:

• Enter a Union Circle session with a friend.
• To initiate the evolution, you need to enter a Union Circle session. You can do this by accessing the Union Circle feature at Pokémon Centers or through the Poké Portal in the main menu.
• If you don't have any friends available to join your Union Circle session, you can try finding a partner online through platforms like the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet subreddit or popular Pokémon-related Discord servers.

Step 3:

• Level up your Finizen within the Union Circle.
• While in the Union Circle session, you need to level up your Finizen. You can achieve this by battling wild Pokémon or using XP candies to speed up the levelling process.
• Once your Finizen reaches level 38 or above within the Union Circle, it will immediately evolve into Palafin.
• Palafin has two unique forms: Zero Form and Hero Form. 

You will be forgiven for thinking that the two images of Finizen and Palafin are exactly the same, and that is understandable, they are almost identical. To experience Palafin's Hero form, there are some additional steps.

How to enable Palafin's Hero form?

To enable Palafin's Hero form in battle, follow these steps:

Step 1: Ensure that your Palafin has learned the move Flip Turn upon evolving from Finizen. It is crucial for unlocking Palafin's Hero form. If your Palafin hasn't learned Flip Turn, you can relearn it by changing its moves in its summary.

Step 2: During battle, have Palafin use the move Flip Turn. This move functions similarly to moves like Volt Switch or U-Turn. When Palafin executes Flip Turn, it will return to its Pokéball, and you'll be prompted to send out another Pokémon.

Step 3: The usage of Flip Turn activates Palafin's unique ability called "Zero to Hero." As a result, Palafin will transform into its more intriguing Hero form while being temporarily withdrawn from the battle.

Step 4: When you swap Palafin back into the battle, it will appear in its Hero form. The Hero form of Palafin boasts higher base stats in every category except for HP and speed, enhancing its battle capabilities.

It's important to note that Palafin will revert to its Zero form once the battle is over. To utilise Palafin's Hero form in subsequent battles, you'll need to execute the Flip Turn move again.
