Hello,

I have this strange problem about my internet connection in our internet shop. Having 17 units: 15 clients ,1 for typing and 1 server. My problem is that when there are only 2-5 users of the internet it goes fine and having no problem, but when there are more than 5 it starts to dropped or a request time out upon pinging and it only goes back for a couple of minutes.. then if somebody will log in and use again it will start again to dropped and so on. I am using a static IP's for all computers. Im using a modem -router-16 port gigabit switch topology. Great help is highly appreciated... Connection speed is 5 mbps... Tnx in advance...

Hello,

Try this 1

1) Instead of assigning the static IP's to your PC's, try DHCP option from the

router. Click on the below hyperlink "User Guide" and download it

User Guide

Refer to the topic "DHCP Settings" from the "Page 31".

You can find all the instructions regarding how to login to your router in the

user guide.

2) If the problem still exists then upgrade the "Firmware".

There could be a problem with your router\modem also. Try upgrading your modem/router "Firmware".

Hello,
Try this 1
First try with another network cable and check if you are able to connect to it properly. Also try different switch ports.
