Hi there! I'm having trouble turning on my computer.
The vent seems to be running, but the HDD activity light switches off after a few seconds, and the system unit will keep on buzzing, not doing anything. The monitor notifies that there is no input signal, before going in standby.
I've looked up a number of solutions online, such as replacing power cables as well as the video card, but I wanted to ask around in order to save time and money.
The model is an HP a6000, if anyone has any suggestions as to what to do I'd be very thankful.

Replacing one part at a time might result in you buying an entire new computer before you find the problem. I suggest you have a local PC repair shop do a diagnostic evaluation.

Good Luck

Hello xpcman, and thank you for your answer! I did solve the problem by my own accord, I just removed the RAM card and inserted it in another slot. Computer works fine! Thanks all the same!
