Hello,

I am using seagate external hard drive of 1 TB capacity. Now its corrupted and unreadable. By searching in web i followed a command in cmd i.e. "chkdsk /f g:". After performing this command the corrupted drive is invisible in my computer but it is visible in the devices and printers as unopened one. A couple of times i uninstalled and installed the drivers as said in your web page. Still the problem is not resolved.

Please help me out in this regard. How I can resolve this problem? I wanted that the drive should be visible in the my computer as openable one, without causing any damage to the files in the drive.

thanks

After plugging in the device, go to device manager (In run type "devmgmt.msc") In Device manager go to "Universal serial bus controllers" It should list the storage devices that you have connected to your PC. Right click and then click "Uninstall. Remove the drive and restart your system.
Try connecting the device again
