New computer won't recognise my iPod nano

Hi,

The device is around 5 or 6 years old, but still works perfectly. I've now plugged it into my new computer with Windows 10 and it says the device is not recognieed. I'm going nuts listening to the same old music again and again. Can you please help?

Check if your computer's drivers are up to date.

Is iTunes already installed ?

Yes, computer is only 4 weeks old, and itunes is currently installed. I can download songs onto itunes, I just cant synch my ipod.
