Hi,
I suggest you check if Instagram is up to date and has permission to access your location.

I suppose you've already tried to close the Instagram app and restart the phone?
Have you also tried to access your account from a different device or directly through the Instagram website to see if the problem persists?
If you're facing the problem only with the app, try logging out and back in or even reinstalling it.
Alternatively, you can try to report the problem to Instagram by going to the app's Settings > Help > Report a problem.

I've reported it via the Help Center millions of times. The location don't show up on other people's phones as well

Take a look at your Instagram Account Settings, you may find an option there that causes the removal of the locations from your posts. Check in particular your Privacy settings.
Also, I found that other users who had the same problem as you were able to resolve it by unlinking their (deactivated) Facebook account from their Instagram account.
Another solution is to log out from Instagram and reset your password, and then log in with your new password.

I'm having trouble finding the option that causes the removal of the locations. If only this site allowed by to post a screen recording to show what the actual problem is. My Facebook is linked and it isn't deactivated

You can't share a screen recording here, but it is possible to attach screenshots by clicking the mountain icon when typing your message. Alternatively, post your screen recording on YouTube as "Unlisted" and post the link here.

Is it a personal or business account? If it's a business account, then sign in to the Facebook page that's linked with your Instagram account.
On your Facebook page, click Edit Page Info. Check the box Has a street address and add the address of your business if it's not already the case. Check also Customers visit my business at my street address and save the changes.
Go back to your Instagram account and try tagging your location.
Hope this will work.
