Hi,
Why does A Laptop Starts Up and Then Shuts Down? There can be various reasons for this, i have mentioned below some of the reasons that might cause this issue.
Dead Battery
Faulty power supply
Immediate overheating on startup
Electrical shorts
Faulty power button
Damaged internal components
Component/Wire becoming loose from its connection
Computer Virus
Try doing a hard reset, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Plug them both back in and boot it up again and see if it loads just fine. If you're trying to install NVIDIA driver it's best to get the latest one out there. Here's the link where you can get the latest driver. nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
Use the Auto Detect feature, it's way easier and it will give you the latest and accurate driver there is.

Well It could be the battery or the motherboard of your laptop. Remove the battery then plug in just the charger and turn it on see if it will replicate the problem. If it turns on that means it's the battery have some issue and need to replace the battery with the new battery.
