Solution to hacked Instagram video selfie error 6.14.2022

Hey guys!

I was in the same boat until just now. So it’s definitely the camera settings on newer phones that’s throwing off the facial recognition that Instagram claims not to use.
I went in to my camera settings on my iPhone 12 Pro and turned off these 4 settings:
-scene detection
-prioritize faster shooting
-lens correction
-smart HDR

I deleted and re downloaded Instagram and resubmitted the video selfie and was allowed back into my Instagram within MINUTES.

I’m assuming it’s the same for other phone brands, just go into your camera settings and turn anything off that is auto editing your videos.

I’ve been locked out for exactly three weeks today and have submitted countless video selfies. Don’t give up and I hope this helps!
