Hello,
My daughter recently abandoned her Toshiba S171 Laptop (she bought a newer one).
With the intent of a re-format and a fresh install of Win XP SP3 I intended to give it to a retired neighbor who had expressed an interest in having a laptop.
After a format and clean install the display and dial-up drivers are showing up wrong in the hardware manager dialoge.
Toshiba (web page) drivers (ATI was the only listed diver)and no dial-up modem) returned inaccurate hardware.
Don't know where to turn - would prefer not to spend money as this is a give-away.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Larry
