I cant upload pictures

Hello,
I got a new camera for christmas, and i just tried to upload some pictures, but my comp said that it cant download the software. It came with directions, but i cant find them. It didnt come with a cd or anything. The digital camera is pretty cheap, and it doesnt have a screen....pls help
