Hi there,
First step when you get the laptop check the adapter plug .there is a fuse in it of 13 Amp,check and replace it if its blown,then the input to the laptop pin ,check it with a multimeter for the output voltage it must be in a range of 17 to 19 V Dc,you will get the output voltage on the adapter itself.After tying all these if no joy feel free to revert back giving more information .
