Will not load websites

Hello,
I have a wireless laptop and have had no problem until two days ago. I did a virus scan and found out that I had a couple of viruses. My avg found them and I removed them. My computer then booted up save setting and then shut down. This happened over and over. I reinstalled windows and that stopped. But when I click on my browser it comes up but none of the web pages load. I have checked my wireless and the router is send and my computer is receiving the signal. Can anyone help me figure out the problem and what to do to fix it
