first off... please don't
secondly, to connect the ps3 to your computer you need a 'crossover' ethernet cable. It's a special cable where the inside wiring is crossed, so that both are not trying to talk on the same wires.
after that you'd have to setup a network bridge on your computer. It'd actually be pretty annoying to setup a netowrk bridge between you modem and network card..
