no sound in laptop Toshiba M600 Closed

Question

I lost sound on my Toshiba M600 laptop after it had woken up from sleep mode. It says no audio input device is installed, eventhough it is in the computer. Someone advised to uninstall the Realtek HD audio device and then restart computer. I did s but it does not work. PLease help. Thanks

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

Dear Nichada, 

It might be that the problem that you are experiencing is coming from the fact that the driver needs to be updated. Please get to the Device Manager and right click on the driver and select Update Driver.
