Home keys (asdfjkl) locked

Hi,

The home keys on my laptop are locked. My daughter was playing on it and now the asdfjkl keys are not working. I have tried shutting the computer down and removing the battery, but no luck. All other keys are working.

Please help!

System Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 8.0

Dear Chris,

Please check whether there have been no functions assigned to it and also if there is any virus causing this specific trouble.

How do I check if any functions have been assigned to it. I have already checked and there is no virus causing it.

Dear Chris,

Please consider pressing five times the Shift Key to and hence you will eventually get to see whether the Sticky Keys have been activated.

That worked for me too. I was stuck on the Windows password logon page. Thanks for posting.

have you cleaned the keys? shutdown computer and open the keys. g, h, and b would be easier because it will remove the tracker point. once you cleaned it, it should work.
