My dad got a linksys a couple years ago but the internet is terrible because someone is useing the wifi also I suggested getting a password for it but one of his freinds said if he got a password only one person could be at a time so I wouldnt be able to go on my computer to is this true?

no i would say because you will just have to connect to the Wifi and then he has to type in the password so you can connect to the Wifi to gain access to the internet buddy.

does this friend live near Ur house then he is the one stealing the bandwidth.

with password the connection is secured. meaning only the people with the password can access the connection.

No.of users depends on the no. of ports available in ur router normally 4 or 8 connections .

My advice: First thing secure ur connection by applying a Alphanumeric password that cannot be identified by anyone

In the case you have described, Gervarod has the solution and none other will work.

Good luck
