Disks no longer load

Hello,

I use my laptop "Presario F700" regularly, but only use the disk drive occasionally to print off card making items. I have just brought a new disk off ebay but it doesn't work.... I thought it was the copied disk - when I tried an official disk, that was the same. The laptop made the usual noise when you first load the disk.......... then nothing, not even the disk icon at top of screen. Can anybody help me please? P.S. I'm not computer literate!

Hi there,

Which disk is it and which drive?please provide more information.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to view my question, all I know is that its the disk drive on the right hand side of my laptop ( there's only 1). I use craft disks.... originals and copies as well as music cd's. They used to work on it before, lets say 4 weeks ago as a rough guess. Thanks again Deb.

Hi, I still have NOT done anything to my laptop, but yesterday afternoon I tried a cd again.....its working again!
