Ipod shuffle 4th generation won't sync

Hello,

My new ipod shuffle 4th generation will not show up as a device on itunes and therfore cannot be synced. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem but it was just that the plug wasn't pushed far enough into the ipod. It has to click hard or it isn't recognized - at least for me anyway.
