Hello,

Thanks in advance for any help. My problem is I recently bought an HDMI cable to connect my HP pavilion dv6700 to my hdtv (lg). Everything works, but I was wondering if there was anyway to connect my laptop, play a movie, while still using my laptop for other business? It would greatly please my girlfriend, who has a Mac that doesn't have an HDMI option. She would like to watch a movie on her new HDTV while I play poker, any help would help me and my ears!

Thanks again, I am running windows vista

Hello,

Try this 1

You can try to extend your desktop to the external monitor or TV. By extending

your desktop you can work between or among two or more applications at the

same time.

Click on "Start" --> Control Panel --> Personalize --> Display Settings.

Click on the monitor icon which represents your external monitor or TV -->

Check the check box "Extend the desktop onto this monitor"
