HDD not showing folders

Hello,
I leant out my hard disk to a friend, and when i received it back i am unable to see any folders in it. Although it shows limited free space as before but i cannot see any folders. any suggestions as to how can i look into my data...??? i have put it to virus scan and while scanning also it is showing all the folders.. but i am unable to see any.... tried and un hide my folder also but still cannot see...would be really glad if someone can help...

Option 1:
Click on the below link and download the file "AutorunExterminator"
https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/5911-autorun-exterminator/
Extract it --> Double-click on "AutorunExterminator" -
This will remove the autorun virus from the drives.
Step 2:
Go to start and type
cmd
Now right click on it and select run as administrator
Now run this command
attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
You can copy the above command --> Right-click in the Command Prompt and paste it.
After getting back files
download the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from the below link

Option 2:
See if this data recovery software finds your files
https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/5003-recuva/
Click on the below link and download the file "AutorunExterminator"
