Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop and certain keys not working on the keyboard. I am using Windows XP. When physically pressed, the character does not appear visually.

I would appreciate any assistance please.

I suggest you replace the keyboard since they often fail. You might be able to find a cheap replacement on Ebay. But, first try using an external USB keyboard. This will confirm the need to replace the keyboard, If the external works OK.
