Hello, I tried taking out the battery and unpluged my charger plug and holding the power button for 30 to 60 seconds it didn't work. I turned it on and the screen is black with a blinking line on the top. I won't load any farther than that. What to do!?!?!?!?!?!?

There is nothing YOU can do. You need to take the laptop to a qualified repair shop and pay them to do a diagnostic evaluation. Their repair estimate will probably exceed the cost of a NEW laptop. In that case you can remove the hard drive from most laptops and mount it in a USB enclosure. That will make your data available to other PCs.

Good Luck
I want to avoid that

Well you don't even know what a "cursor" is. So how do you think you will repair the laptop?
Great.This shall be fun.

If this is an old laptop that is not worth fixing. Then you might skip the estimate part. Save $100 and just buy a new laptop.
I got it about two years ago.
