Wireless Connecton But No Internet?!?

Hello, Hello,
I have had my Dell Inspiron 1525 for about 3.5 years. It has been fine up until about five months ago. I had to totally replace my harddrive after a virus, and ever since then it periodically starts up in a safe mode. A few days ago, everything was working fine. I put the laptop in sleep mode and went out to dinner. When I got back, there was a wireless connection but I couldn't connect to the Internet! Other computers in the house can connect to the Internet via wireless, so it is something in my system. I have tried my usual tricks, including going to Run and resetting winsock (it said I needed elevation? 10 karma points to anyone who can tell me what this means!) but nothing has helped. I would appreciate any help anyone has to offer! Thanks in advance!

did you try resetting your Internet Protocol (IP) configuration settings?

This is the only possible reason I can think of, according to what you've said.

Can you plz explain any software changes recently made so that they might have any impact on the systems internet configuration settings ?

I think you are using manual ip on your laptop that's it your laptop connects to the wireless but cant access internet try to set your ip settings automatic and than try to connect and access internet.

Hello,
I use firefox. I know that my connection is fine, but my firefox screen is blank. The internet explorer screen won't work either - says unable to load page.

Hello,
I'm connected to a public server at my university and the wifi says connected but I don't have access to the internet. I know the Internet works, because I'm accessing it through my phone. However, sometimes an authorization page comes up to allow students to sign in. I'm thinking i need to resurgirías my computer, but i have no idea how to bring up that page since it comes up automatically. Can you help? Thanks

Hello,

I have internet connection and all my other devices work fine except my PC laptop. Browser won't load any pages. I have made sure that the proxy was unchecked. I have also gone to command prompt and followed the resetlog.txt procedure.

After it, I restarted my computer. Did not get success! Also tried and run after typing resetlog.txt that leads to prompt saying "windows cannot find 'resetlog.txt".

In most of the forum, I was asked to follow resetlog.txt procedure. However, it is not helping me out.

Please help!

DNS probe finished no internet on Mac

My Wi-Fi connection is working my phone is able to connect, but my mac book keeps saying dns probe finished, not internet when I try to load a page. How do I fix this problem on a mac? I'd really appreciate the help, with out internet in Saud Arabia life is difficult for an expat.

Hello,

I am facing internet web page connecting issues. Not even a Google search page loads in the browser. Only Gmail will be opened.

I am not able to use any other site than Gmail in my PC.

Please resolve this issue as soon as possible!
