I would like to try to help you in fixing this problem. Is there any error message you receive when the computer crashes after connecting to router? If so, please reply with the exact text of the error. If not, try the steps provided in below mentioned link to stop the computer on the error screen when it crashes:

When you have disabled "Automatic Restart on System Failure", try to duplicate the problem by connecting to the router and wait for any errors to appear. If any error appears, do reply with the exact text of the error.
